Basin destroy mycelium, and the sceenshot uploader on this site doesn't work for me, so I'll get it to you soon

I find a Mushroom biome. My happiness soon turned into frustration because half of the mycelium was gone. I have heard this reffered to as a basin, but still, it irks me and really it just looks like a feature that us with MineOCD can't tolerate.
