I upgraded to 1.6.2. After quitting and saving it always reverts back to 1.5.2 tried dozens of times

When i downloaded the new launcher for Mac. It popped up with very confusing codes? Then it sent an error thing. It said along the lines of, invalid memory access of location 0x0 rip=0x0 Game ended with bad state (exit code 139)
