Release notes not updated with each version

I don't think the release-notes.txt file has ever included new information for each release.

[~IonicEcko] - Description Update

The release-notes.txt file has not been updated with subsequent versions post the initial release.

Updated release notes would help BDS Admins identify what has been fixed and changed to assist with testing and bug reporting.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Download latest BDS release

  2. Check release-notes.txt

Looks like a new release a few days ago to 1.16.1.02 (from 1.16.0.2). Still no release notes.
Is there changes in these 2 releases? Can we get change log?

The release was for the 1.16.1 patch on devices. There's likely no BDS related changes (and thus no need for any release notes).

It's still a new version release of BDS.

If the release is just to be in line with the device hotfix that is what the release notes should say 🙂

The 1.18.11 version of bds doesn't have updated release notes, so I had to figure out the allowlist change myself to update my server.

This is still an issue for the latest 1.19.10.03 formal release.

What's curious is that there was a recent attempt to market the bedrock server release for the Microsoft developers, using advanced release beta builds, so there must be someone assigned on the backend in Mojang to facilitate this. Even a text-version of the changelog notes would be a good addition (assuming java content isn't erroneously put/left into the notes).

If there's no inclination to add a maintenance step for content updates, can we at least have a permalink to the latest changelog notes in the release notes txt?
