It was working fine until I restarted my Ubuntu OS (safely saved the server before doing so)
Have tried a fresh download of minecraft server but same issue 😞

I have this problem too. Haven't figured anything out yet, but someone said here BDS-12126 that the same world on Ubuntu 18 worked fine.
