Game Breaking Bug

Hello. I am writing on behalf of my friend who has had this problem for almost a month now but can't write in due to a lack of computer and generally not having time/it not being worth her time as it ruined the game for her.
She's been an avid Minecraft fan for years and got it for her Nintendo switch when she found out about it and it was Bedrock instead of the old version. Well, recently she has been having a problem where she can open up the game (occasionally it'll crash but that seems to be normal for this update from what I've seen), log in to XBox Live, and choose skins and everything; however, upon getting to the play tab where the worlds are displayed with multiplayer and such, everything seems fine on the surface until she tries to select a world. It won't even attempt to load from what I'm understanding or it will crash upon attempt. When trying to just make a new world, it won't even open the tab, and when trying to play Multiplayer she'll join for just a split moment before disconnecting before she even leaves the loading screen.
Like I said, she's been a fan for years and she's spent quite a bit of money on the game, but she refused to even try anymore until a new update. She's tried everything from the basic restarting her switch and uninstalling the game to deleting skins and resource packs alongside worlds she's worked on just to try and make anything work.
