When going through the End portal (end to overworld) sometimes massive fall damage is being taken. With feather falling 4 I took 4 and a 1/2 hearts but my friend with out died. All of their stuff also disappeared. We set our spawn with a bed a couple blocks away from portal and when I was already through I heard the fall damage be taken when they died. This happens on both my realm and single player world. I couldn't find any rhyme or reasoning to the damaging being taken. It just sometimes happens and some times doesn't.
