I'm playing Minecraft on my smartphone. When I try to listen to music on vinyl, I don't hear anything. Even if you select "Sound" from "Options" of Minecraft and set it, music will not be played on the record.

The same thing happened to me, I had to download the "music" (by minecraft) free thing from the mineplex store and then it worked for me. Kinda weird and probably a bug, though.
