After a few minutes the world stops working

After playing as usual for about 30 minutes, I noticed that everything in the game suddenly stopped working. Chests could not be opened, blocks could be broken but there was no animation and there were no drops, it just stopped existing. You can open things like fence gates or wooden doors, but levers and redstone does not work, and you cannot open the inventory or crafting menus. 

The problem can be temporarily fixed by logging out and then logging back in. After logging back in any blocks that were broken will have dropped and things like water will begin to flow again, but only after you log out and back in. However within a few minutes the problem is back. At first I thought my world was corrupted, so I loaded a backup from 3 days prior where I was having no issues, and once again after maybe 5 minutes everything stopped working once again. 

After this I restarted my computer, the server computer, and updated the server from 1.18.1.02 to 1.18.2.03 and then loaded up the latest world and the problem was still present. After this I used an even older backup from 8 days prior, and within 5 minutes everything was frozen and unusable again.  

At this point I narrowed the problem down to being a BDS issue by taking the exact same world and loading it up in single player, and after leaving myself logged in overnight the problem never occurred. I then went back to the server and logged on and within a few minutes the world was frozen once again.
