Interacting With Chests and Inventory

Hi there, I have a nether portal next to my automatic sorter which is quite large. I have a lot of redstone items such as torches, comparators, repeaters etc. When I exit the nether back into the overworld and try to interact with a chest, the chest will open after a while but will remain open and not close. Several chests can remain open at the same time. With the chests open it does not display anything - no menu with slots and how full they are. I travelled several chunks from where the issue happened and tried to open my inventory which then wouldn't open either. After saving and coming back in several chunks away the game seemed to return to normal

I am playing on a PS4 with the latest firmware
