I have a problem with the mending spell in the new version. the shovel enchanted with mending does not adjust. I then discovered that all weapons cannot be adjusted unless using the weapon itself to be adjusted. if I try to dig with a pickaxe other than the enchanted one for example, the experience points acquired by digging go to the experience bar instead of the damaged, enchanted but unused weapon. is this normal?the problem arises because I don't think there is a material that gives experience when using the shovel. so it can't be repaired.
but I don't know if even before version 1.21.
every experience point goes indiscriminately towards objects with mending to be repaired. not now. even if you only have one, if it is not used it cannot be repaired

So, how can I repair my shovel if there isn't any block where can I use it give a xp? If I use shovel to kill any mob.. mending doesn't work..
You can kill a mob with a sword/your fist (if you have an XP grinder) and then quickly switch to your shovel to repair it.
No. It doesn't work. Even if I have only this shovel enchanted. It not repair. I've tried many times.

You need to hold the shovel before you gain the experience points, otherwise your shovel won't get repaired.
So " you can kill a mobs by sword/ you fist..." It is incorrect.
In badrock edition on PS5 you cannot put shovel to second hand. Only map/arrow/shield. If I kill mobs with shovel it doesn't work between using and mending.
If I use sword, it will not repair because experience goes to bar. So what can I do?
What is incorrect? I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying here. You obviously can't put your shovel in your off-hand, so what you have to do is kill a mob with a sword/your fist (if you have an XP grinder), then walk away from the XP so you don't collect it, switch your selected item to your shovel (either by already having it in your hotbar and just selecting it, or switching the item you're holding with the shovel), and then collect the XP so your shovel gets repaired.
