When attempting to connect to a dedicated server running a world utilizing an addon with block(s) containing “use_beta_features”: true, you will receive a “Blocks between client and server do not match.” error.
What I did
Attempted to connect (from a desktop, Switch, and Android, all running 1.21.130) to a BDS 1.21.130.4 instance running a world with an addon utilizing blocks with the “use_beta_features” property.
What happened
Received an error: “Blocks between client and server do not match.”
What I expected to happen
The Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.130 client(s) should have connected to the dedicated server.
Repro Steps
Created a world in Minecraft 1.21.130 for Windows, added an addon that contains blocks meeting the above criteria, applied appropriate experimental toggles, and launched the world, as a control test - the world loaded fine.
Placed the behavior and resource pack used into the world folder (and removed from development folders), relaunched Minecraft, and re-tested - the world loaded fine.
Copied the world from the minecraftWorld folder into the world folder of a new BDS 1.21.130.4 instance and launched. Attempted to connect from desktop client and received the “Blocks between client and server do not match” error message.
Shut down the server. Removed all files from the Behavior Pack’s “blocks” folder that contained “use_beta_features”: true, relaunched the server and watched all the missing reference errors flow by.
Attempted once again to connect from the desktop client - the client connected successfully.
Environment
Windows BDS server 1.21.130.4; Windows, Android 14, Nintendo Switch client 1.21.130

Literally any addon attempting to utilize new-style “stairs” will cause this error to occur. I have released three, one of which you can find here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft-bedrock/addons/da-terracotta-expansion
