I run multiple bds instances (usually) so enable-lan-visibility is off, due to port conflicts. New bds version becomes unavailable, if false. Doesn't send motd, version, and reports player count as 0/0, and players can't spawn.
enable-lan-visibility=true fixes the issue instantly, but is impractical, when trying to have more than one server on the same computer.
Update additional information:
If I update an existing server that used to have enable-lan-visibility=false, they wont work, if however I edit the level.dat file, change LANBroadcast from 0 to 1, it works again, but still only 1 bds at a time.
It’s like it burns the value into level.dat, and then that can only be changed manually.

I am the same on a multi server host, enable-lan-visibility=true fixes it but only allows one server to run on each host

I am affected by this issue. There is a VERY INCONVENIENT WORKAROUND that allows me to host multiple servers on one machine. I start a server at a default port, and only THEN start all the other servers. They get their designated ports, because they see ports 19132 and 19133 as “occupied”.
I would very much love for this issue to be fixed, it would make hosting several servers on a single machine MUCH easier.
In troubleshooting, if I change the server port back to default 19132 in the server.properties file, I can connect. When I change the port back to a non-default port, I can no longer connect.
Running on default port is not an option for my server.
