DESCRIPTION:
On Android, the game closes completely and returns to the Android home screen a few seconds after starting a connection to an external (dedicated) server. No error message is shown. Featured servers and single player are unaffected.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Launch Minecraft on Android (version 26.40)
Go to Play > Servers > Add Server
Enter address: test.geysermc.org, port: 19132
Save and join the server
EXPECTED RESULT:
The client connects to the server, or displays a connection error message.
OBSERVED RESULT:
About 3 seconds after the connection attempt begins, the application closes and Android returns to the home screen. No crash dialog, no error message.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Reproduced on two different Android devices: Xiaomi POCO F6 and Xiaomi Pad Android versions: 16 BP2A.250605.031.A3 Reproduced with two different external servers: test.geysermc.org:19132 (official Geyser test server) and donutsmp.net:19132 One of the two devices connected successfully to donutsmp.net before updating to 26.40. This appears to be a regression. Featured/official servers connect normally on the same devices and the same connection Reproduced on two different mobile carriers (4G/5G) and via mobile hotspot, so this is not a local network restriction Cache cleared and devices restarted, no change
