Summary: Since the Nethernet default, several external players cannot join a proxied dedicated server at all (timeout during join), while the same players join the same machine's RakNet instance fine. Affects strict-NAT / non-local clients; LAN unaffected.
Environment: Same server/path as Report 1. TCP 19132 signaling verified working (/v1/join returns server JSON); UDP 19132-19182 + 7551 forwarded 1:1 end-to-end and verified live. BDS binds the fixed UDP 7551 control port (confirmed via netstat, PID-matched) — this port is undocumented in server-udp-ports guidance and was initially unforwarded; forwarding it did not resolve joins.
Repro: External client → Add Server → join favmc.net on Nethernet → hangs/times out during connection (InitialConnection-family). Same client joins RakNet instance immediately.
Expected: ICE/DTLS completes for NAT'd clients as RakNet handshake does.
Actual: A subset of clients (strict NAT, tunneled/proxied routes) never completes Nethernet negotiation despite a fully forwarded 1:1 UDP range.
Corroboration: http://feedback.minecraft.net Bedrock Dedicated Server external connections fail (LAN joins fine, external NetherNet / InitialConnection-13); Reddit BDS 1.26.51.1 / NetherNet connection problems since 26.50/26.51; http://playit.gg tunnel thread (Nethernet needs TCP signaling + independent UDP; 1.26.51.1 requires advertised UDP ports to exactly match local ports; fixed UDP 7551 observed).
