[MC-10057] /give with multiple players drops the item instead of giving it in the inventory

I typed in a commandblock the following: /give @a[team=Red] 368 1
after giving power to the commandblock everybody in team red got a enderpearl (ID: 368) but everyone except for one player (the one who was standing the nearest to the commandblock❓ ) dropped the item instead of getting it directly into the inventory

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
