After opening a Single Player world I expected the world to generate and be 'normal'
What actually happened was the world was a mess of black red and green streaks and impossible to see even the hand. Nothing could be seen and the whole world was getting random streaks of color.
For me:
1. Open a Single Player world
2. What for world to generate
3. Glitch can be seen (Its pretty hard to miss)

The issue is caused most likely by your outdated graphics drivers, if not then by an outdated resource pack.

I had a similar glitch to yours, even though I got a fast laptop, the glitch still persists.
I also thought of an idea:
If you have a world that has really good stuff that you built, you can copy your world save that is in the "saves" folder and paste it in the version folder depending on the version you started your worlds in.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (
