Joining a server sometimes fails when maximized, works fine when windowed

This has been a longstanding issue, and it's a weird one. Joining a certain server when the window is maximized (not fullscreen) will stop trying to join the server and kick you back to the main menu. It happens for some servers, and sometimes not for them. Simply going back to windows mode will fix it and let you log onto the server. You can then maximize after logging in.
