[MC-102872] Minecraft 1.9.4 duplication glitch

While dual wielding, you can eat a food item, and it often duplicates the item that you have have in your left hand. I've only noticed it in singleplayer.

Please provide exact steps to reproduce.
Gamemode survival or creative ?
What item do you hold in the off-hand ?
You may also attach screenshots before and after this issue.

As far as i know, i held a shield in the left hand, and ate a steak in my right. In survival, It then duplicated the shield placing it in the 9th slot.
