As many have noticed this bug has been in minecraft for ages and never gets fixed. There are many posts of this bug and it's very old. Still it won't get fixed.
So what happens is that sometimes when you eat you eat more than intended. Say you have 5 hunger bars and eat a steak. Somehow you just eat another.
So I'm just wondering why it won't gets fixed because it has been reported several times over the internet.

This is a duplicate of MC-849. I share your feelings about this one not getting fixed. I would recommend dropping a vote for MC-849 on the Popular Issues tab to increase awareness, or commenting the above on its page, rather than creating a duplicate ticket. It currently is not on Mojang's list of pertinent fixes - hopefully it will be, someday.
