renaming spade

Can you be a little more specific?

To my understanding, the "Spade" (Which I can only assume is a Shovel) is not accepting "Shovel" as a name in an Anvil?

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to this ticket.

If your language calls the shovel a spade and the server's (if you're on a server) calls it shovel, it would be like renaming it to the exact same thing, which Minecraft avoids, usually so that when combining tools, ect. you're not also renaming it if you don't want to.
