Stacked minecarts have variable visual behavior based on the presence of an underneath rail.
Demonstration
[media]shows carts stacked with a rail underneath appear as just one cart.
[media]shows carts stacked without a rail underneath will actually appear to stack.

Unable to reproduce. This behavior in 20w07a is not just visual, the minecarts actually physically snap to rails.
