The curser is not where it shows up on the screen for me, which makes it hard to select items/menu buttons etc. Some regions on the screen are impossible to reach. I tried recording a video as a proof, but strangely enough, the recorded cursor is exactly where it has to be. But to show the effect, I have moved the cursor along the edges of my monitor and as you can see in the video, the cursor does not reach the edges of the game screen.
Here are my thoughts on what it could depend on: I have 2 monitors and 1 tv connected to my pc. These are set up that the two monitors extend my desktop and the tv duplicates my main display.
If I switch the main display to the monitor that doesn't get mirrored, this issue doesn't happen. Also, the tv has a native resoultion of 4K but in order to mirror it, the resolution is set to Full HD. If I set the resolution for my main monitor (and tv) to 4K (my monitor has only FullHD but supports downscaling), this problem doesn't appear either.
I also noticed that when I leave minecraft, some of my opened windows got resized smaller, so there is some kind of rescaling happening when minecraft get's opened.
This might be just a driver issue, but this only happens in Minecraft, not in any other game I have played so far (I have played plenty of them), so I thought I should report it.

I know something similar only when a window pops up and Minecraft (not maximized) gets in the background. Then I can only move the cursor in the new window based on the size of Minecraft.
Do you maybe have another program open that has the size of the area you can reach?
Try restarting your computer.
