I've noticed a Bug with ghost items in creative. As you may know Minecraft has recently added a new mechanic where you simply hover over an item and type a number 1-9. Then, the item transports to whatever number of the hot bar you choose. Now in creative if you do this and try to place the object, it shall place for no more than a tick and disappear from your inventory and from where you placed it.
