Randomly when I attempt to launch Minecraft, the client will make no sound, and won't even appear in my Volume Mixer. The only way I've seen to temporarily fix this is by running the Minecraft installer under the Repair option. My laptop has the same issue, but its much less common than on my desktop. I've tried re-installing the Minecraft runtime, the game, and even attempted a factory reset on my laptop and after about a week the issue started occuring again.

Just a note, the client I was running didn't actually have Forge installed, I just forgot to change the profile over. It's actually OptiFine, but this issue occurs without OptiFine as well.
Please attach the complete output of the "Launcher Log" which can be found on the second tab of the launcher.
If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".
