Summary:
Everytime I have internet and I refresh at the multiplayer screen to check my ping, my minecraft freezes and if I have no internet connection, it crashes.
What I expected to happen was...:
Just for the client not to crash.
What actually happened was...:
The client crashed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I have no internet connection.
2. I must have had internet connection beforehand and used the multiplayer screen to check ping before
3. I refresh at the multiplayer screen with no internet connection to check ping
4. There is a pause instead of the servers showing up either showing the ping or that there's not connection
5. If I don't press cancel and go to the home menu, the client will stay frozen for a little longer, then crash.

Unless the future versions are not gonna have the issues anymore, than they might as well be put under the "affected" tab. I practically have this problem since 1.8 and was hoping that each update would fix it. Otherwise, remove the option to even use it use "unreleased verions", mojang.
Not sure if the crash report is supposed to be that txt file that you can open up. Just in case, I also attached images of the crash report.
This attached crash report is also a recent one and not the crash I got at the time of making this bug report. However, I can pretty much replicate them so they're pretty much the same.
Please do not mark unreleased versions as affected.
You don't have access to them yet.
