Drinkable saturation potions used to work in 1.10 and I've used them in maps in the past. As of 1.11 they no longer seems to work. The same potions that used to restore hunger and saturation in 1.10 no longer do in 1.11. In 1.11 they do nothing and the effect is not applied. The "effect" command still works but it seems to be the only way to apply the effect that I can discover.
To duplicate use this command:
/give PlayerNameHere minecraft:potion 1 0 {CustomPotionEffects:[{Id:23,Amplifier:0,Duration:20}]}
to give yourself a saturation potion. Drink it. Nothing will happen. Changing the amplifier or duration similarly has no effect. The effect is never applied from the potion as the icon never appears in the upper right corner so it is some issue related to applying it. This may be similar to the issue with splash potions and areaeffectclouds with saturation not working, but these used to work in 1.10 so it is something new.

It relates but I wouldn't say duplicates. As drinkable saturation potions worked in 1.10. I could not find a thread about this particular issue appearing in 1.11. I've edited my original description for clarity. Thanks for your attention
I think so as well, no idea why this is considered a duplicate.

I can verify this as well. Giving yourself saturation via chat or command block works just fine, but giving saturation a time limit via potions does not work. Also, I've noticed that the time limit is based on ticks, not seconds. I've tried this on a brand new map as well. I also had a friend of mine test this on their installation.
