finally, after many tries, it gave me a crash report. i gave up on it for about a year, but now that ive started playing again, id really like to have a fishing hut, please help!

also, i have both a laptop and a desktop and the same thing happens on both!

Minecraft Version: 1.5.1

Is Modded: Very likely; Jar signature invalidated

We don't support versions other than the latest release (1.12), and we don't support modded versions. Also, that crash report is for MCL-5837 (caused by an invalid language in options.txt, due to launching an older version of the game in a folder from a newer one - an operation that is extra unsupported).

That said, if you actually ran into this while fishing and this happened today, probably what happened is you attached the wrong crash report (as the behavior for MCL-5837 happens on startup); check for another one (if you have multiple minecraft installs, check those). It'll be named something starting with crash-2017-06-15.

thats the latest crash report. i did have my minecraft modded, but i completely uninstalled it and deleted everything from it, then i reinstalled it. is there any way to fix this? or am i just stuck never being able to fish?

There might be a way to fix it, but that crash report doesn't have any info that can be used.

You may have multiple MC installs; first, note the name of the profile below the play button. Then, go to launch options, and select that profile. Then, select the open arrow next to "game directory". Check that crash-reports folder; hopefully there will be a newer crash report there.

do you think the problem is that i have minecraft of both computers or would that not matter?

Probably not (a crash when fishing generally would not be something like that; other issues, maybe, but not this).

ok, im just waiting for minecraft 1.12 to install again, i uninstalled everything and im waiting for it to redownload

all fixed!!! it actually worked this time and i can fish! i dont know why it didnt work last time, but its all good!
