Singleplayer Bug

So when I logged in I left for a second and then my player was killed by a creeper but then I came back re spawned went back to my house an half of it was now a mountain! If you have any idea or if my Minecraft is just broken I would love if you could fix this bug its annoying it also covered a river and my chicken pen
