Data value 43 with damage value 8 is the smooth stone slab, see http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values#Slabs_and_Double_Slabs

Improved double slabs
43:8 will now be the "smooth stone full half-slab block" and will remain so

It does not work. It gives me a stone half slab not a full half slab

Can still not confirm in Multiplayer.

Do you connect to a vanilla 1.5 server or bukkit server ?

Sort of able to reproduce, but in 1.6 it gives you double nether brick slabs. Really disappointed, one of best blocks in game. I am extremely annoyed of not being able to use, as I am a server admin on a server. 😞

Mr. Admin, you should take a closer look. See that screenshot just taken from a multiplayer game running on server 1.6.2 . Smoth stone slab 43:8 on the left, regular slab 41:0 on the right.

Then how do I get it legit without getting double nether brick slabs?
