[MC-11383] I downloaded minecraft.jar off of mojang.com but now when i try to run Minecraft all that pops up is the screen saying "Updating Minecraft" and it won't let me play.

When i downloaded minecraft.jar from mojang.com to get the new snapshot then when i tried to run Minecraft all i got was the message saying "updating Minecraft."

Do not start minecraft.jar, start it with the launcher. More here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tutorials/How_to_Install_a_Snapshot
