Improper OpenGL Compatibility on macOS

Minecraft currently falls back onto a "legacy" OpenGL profile, restricting it to using OpenGL version 2.1. This, in turn, hinders add-ons and modifications for Minecraft, such as OpenGL Shaders, many which rely on newer features as part of OpenGL versions 3.x and 4.x, and are therefore incompatible when only having access to OpenGL version 2.1. This in turn, hinders the gameplay experience for advanced users, as it limits what they can do, despite having support for newer features and functionality on their current hardware and platform. This also causes an inconsistency when compared to the Windows version, which has access to the latest version of OpenGL a system reports.
