I can not destroy the blocks and beat mobs

I have version 1.11.2. When I press the left button and I aim to block, not destroyed even though it should. When I press the left mouse button, and I'm aiming at a mob, nothing happens and I should be able to hit him.

Check in Options > Controls whether Attack/Destroy is set to Button 1
