An issue with lan hosted servers

When a player hosts a minecraft server on lan and someone else connects (with a program like hamachi or evolve) he doesnt recieve anything from the server for about 2 minutes or more, The others hear what he says but He cant see it before these 2 minutes, Its like he lags horribly for 2 minutes or something like that, not really sure about what causes this but its annoying
