This was happening since the upgrade to 1.11.2. I wiped everything. Did a clean install of MC. Created a new world. Saved and exited. Re opened the game, loaded save, launcher helper crashes.

I have made zero change from the default settings. No mods, etc. 100% fresh install.
This has happened to me once on my computer the way i solved it was by deleting the entire system and started the computer all over (it was a new computer) and the issue didnt happen to me once i did it
