Kicked from server after getting wood on new snapshot

In the new snapshot, once you get a piece of wood it unlocks the "Advancements". When playing on a multiplayer server, once you collect your first piece of wood, it kicks you from the server with the message "Internal Exception io.netty.handler.codec.DeconderExeption: java.lang.NullPointerException" and when you rejoin the server, your advancements tab isn't unlocked.
