Arrows land on end gateways and portals

I was messing around with end gateways in a superflat world and shot an arrow at one and noticed that it didn't go through the block. I tried this with end portals and the same thing occured.

To recreate this issue:

1. Create a new world
2. Run the command "/setblock ~ ~-2 ~ minecraft:end_gateway"
3. Shoot an arrow at it
