This bug hits hard on those creative builders using the latest snapshots like me. It's just like you're building something good with let's say the glazed terracotta blocks and all of a sudden as you switch to another block, your inventory gets totally wiped. It's quite frustrating, to say the least, now that all the blocks you're building with are gone.
