Putting torches on the bottom of the block crashes the game

When I put a torch on the bottom side of the block, the game crashes. Here's the code I got:
Unreported exception thrown!
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot set property avz{name=facing, clazz=class ei, values=[up, north, south, west, east]} to down on block minecraft:torch, it is not an allowed value
