[MC-117492] Pinging servers which time out crashes the client

Noticed this problem since this prerelease, if a server does not respond to the pinger, it crashes the client.

This issue happens when the request times out so the client crashes. Happens with desteria's server and someone's server which does not respond to the pinger.

PS: I've tried searching if someone reported that issue and I couldn't find it.

Thank you for trying to search before reporting.

However, there actually already is a ticket for this: MC-108343. A fix has already been planned and should happen soon.

Hi @Pokechu22, though I did search first if theres any ticket like this but I couldn't find it, guessing no one reported it for 1.12-pre2 but in pre1 or in snapshots prefixed with 17w something. Feeling this as a duplicate, feel free to close it as Duplicate 🙂
