I had just opened my own server, and went to play it, when the multiplayer menu said that 100/10 players were online. This is obviously a bug, and it wouldn't even be possible since my servers player limit is 10
What I expected to happen was...:
0/10 players online.
What actually happened was...:
It said there was 100/10 players online.

Modded servers are able to manipulate the displayed number of players online as well as the maximum number of players. Those numbers aren't necessarily accurate, reasonable or correct.
This issue has been closed as invalid.
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
