[MC-117720] Functions don't work

On my computer in any Pre-Release after 1.12 Pre-Release 2 the functions don't work.I press TAB after typing /function but it doesn't shows my folder.I write corectly what was the command in Pre-Release 2 but it tells that Incorect name.Why?I thank the answers

The function file extension was changed from .txt to .mcfunction. The file is still an UTF-8 encoded text file but this was done to allow syntax hightlighting.
Additionally only the character # may be used for comments now and commands must not have a prepended slash.
