If I launch Minecraft 1.11.2 or Minecraft 1.12 Pre-Release 5 from the a taskbar shortcut, no music or sound plays. However, if I launch the game from the desktop shortcut, everything plays fine.
I've tried this a few times both ways to confirm it's not a one time issue.

Please attach the client log from both cases (run and close the game, then copy %appdata%\.minecraft\logs\latest.log, then attach it here).

Ok, I tried it a few more times and it seems to be a random issue with the sound. I'll attach the log for each case.
Edit: I also uninstalled/re-installed the game, but the sound issue still wasn't resolved. So uninstalled again and deleted the .minecraft folder which brought me to it being an occasional issue.
