According to the Wiki, squid should spawn in any biome at any depth. However, no matter how massive of a squid spawning area I create, I cannot get a squid to spawn anywhere except my AFK fish farm. This is in a Deep Ocean biome in a drought custom world, although neither of those should affect anything to my knowledge. Also, if any information is missing or extra, please tell me, as I just started reporting the many bugs I have found.

Also the water texture in the picture and in game seems to bug out

squid should spawn in any biome at any depth

Squids spawn between 46 and sea level (63). Also make sure there's not any other squid nearby or else the game will not try to spawn more.

there is water between 63 and 46, and no other squid are in the entire world. Also, my AFK fishfarm is below 46, but still gets squid spawns somehow.

Since its a drought world, sea level is 20.
