[MC-117974] Ender eyes get lost when they break in a tree

in my survival world when i was searching for the end,when i was in a forest, the ender eyes just break,but does not give the item,just do the sound and the particules but not the item,that happen in the trees,because in plains happens the same with the trees

are you sure it wasn't just unlucky? The Eye of Ender has a 20% chance of shattering upon use.

The ender eye either didn't drop its item or the item dropped on a tree above you.
