However, this issue has been closed as Invalid.

Your Minecraft version is outdated. We currently take issues for version 1.11.2 or the latest snapshot.
Please update to the latest version as it includes the newest fixes. If you still have this problem after updating, then please create a new issue.
In case of a game crash, please also attach the crashlog.

means that you're loading Java 8 code with Java 7, meaning you're using the wrong JVM. If you're manually specifying a JVM in the launcher, stop doing that; otherwise, make sure you're using the Java 8 JVM there.
