The recipe book sometimes instantly closes after having crafted something

The title is self explanatory. Sometimes when crafting items using the recipe book, the UI just shuts down. The screenshot below is taken right after the bug occurred. As you can see, the crafting UI is sent to the side, leaving a space where the recipe book UI used to be. When I re-open the book, it goes back to normal, but it doesn't save the data that I was previously using the recipe book with the "display recipes that you can craft within what you have in your inventory" checkbox.
