When you try to crawl with the elytra under solid blocks, you get pushed back.
But under nonsolid blocks everything is fine.

you got it wrong...
crawling under Blocks with elytra is a feature, but with 1.12, you cant crawl under solid Blocks. This is about what this bugreport is
Because im not sure if i summon up the right blocks with solid/nonsolid here a other description:
Every Block that pushes you back if you try to crawl under it with an Elytra can block a chest to be opened. For exaple you can crawl under a redstone block fine, because even if a redstone block is above a chest, you can still open the chest.
Hope it is understandable (my english isnt near perfect) and this bug will be fixed
