Missing items after new update + advancements gone

After I launched with the new update, i noted first that all the advancements had vanish, which was a bit disappointing. How to get them back? Then i was wondering what should I do and soon i notised i don't any diamond shoes on.. hmm but i do have iron shoes without enhancement in a bad shape.. i wonder why.. well then i went to do new ones i notice only 10+ diamonds in box. Now I cannot be totally sure how much i should've had but i remembered 20+. Anyways i wanted to enhance good shoes with good properties, so where's my anvil?? vanished..

Now if there was a robber figure in minecraft, this would explain and it would be fun to catch the robber if he left any marks in the nature (bonfires f.ex), anyways nothing else explains the missing items and advancements than the new update.

Any how why this happens and is there really a chance to get advancements back as it was?
