[MC-12036] Placing block id 43:8 in creative mode

Playing on creative mode, I had 43:8, smooth stone, and 43:9, smooth sandstone, in my hotbar, and I was placing the smooth stone one on some other smooth stone, when all of a sudden the smooth stone just dissapeared?

Is the server a vanilla 1.5 server or a 1.4.7 server faking to be a 1.5 server ?

It was 1.5, it was my server so I would know. Using the very newest version of CraftBukkit.

This ticket is invalid as it relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
