Crashing that I can't Fix

When I boot up Minecraft and try to create a survival world it just says generating terrain then crashes. I join a multiplayer, says generating terrain, BUT if I am lucky enough to actually join the server and do anything it crashes. In JVM Arguments on the launcher I have "-Xmx4G -Xms4G"

as neko said, this isn't a bug. However, if you change -Xms4G to -Xms128M that should help. The -Xms argument is basically the minimum size heap java can have before being allowed to flush. you want to keep this lowish so that your game doesn't freeze when it tries to flush. 128M flushes faster than 4G
